Roosevelt Forbids Hoarding of Gold (1933)Executive Order 6102 required US citizens and businesses to turn in all but a small amount of gold to the Federal Reserve in exchange for $20.67 per ounce. It came in the midst of a banking crisis, when the stability of paper currency was in doubt. Consequently, many tried to withdraw their money and redeem it for gold, which was considered safer. Holy Cow! Where was that taken? We got some snow today, but nothing like that! In fact, our grass was still sticking through.

My boys would be very tempted to make a snow fort in the side of that wall of snow! Wow!
Did it really snow that much or is that a snow pile or what? I'm totally amazed. I remember as children we would dig great tunnels in the snow. Well, until that one time, when we lost our brother and had to dig him out. That was the end of that. ;-)
wow, that's a lot of snow. Here in TN it's barely snowed 2 times, today being one.
